One of the greatest things we can do for others is to pray for them. As Oswald Chambers said, “Prayer isn’t preparation for the greater work; prayer is the greater work.”
John 4:35 sheds new light on this command: “Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.” We're often so busy and so self-focused that we miss what God is doing in the lives of people around us.
God desires all to enter into the Kingdom — He desires that all would enter into relationship with Him! When we begin to see God’s heart and desire for all people, then we begin to have compassion for people as Jesus did.
